9/2/2009 Eric A. Shelman said: This is the dramatic telling of Mary Ellen's story - it takes you back to 19th Century New York City, where you smell the smells, experience life in the tenements, and follow Mary Ellen from birth to the day of her rescue 9 years later. An amazing true story that is only told in these books.
