Sean, a ten-year-old boy, and his sister, Katie, are out trick-or-treating on Halloween night. He is dressed as a fry cook and she is dressed as a princess. After an electrical blackout of the neighborhood, he finds a mysterious glow coming from behind their garden shed. Sean discovers that a meteor rock has landed in their back yard. His fry cook costume's spatulas end up conducting the rock's energy, and he starts to learn how to use that power. After a van, which came from the abandoned house up the street, almost runs over his sister, the pair is driven to discover the secret of the mysterious old house, but Sean must keep himself and his little sister Katie safe at the same time.
