They make their home in a flowerbox watched by two children who learn from the birds' actions and antics. Dorothy and Dudley Dovely are busy raising their family, which includes two delightful, if daring, doves DeeDee and Dinky. Mark and Stacey are the lucky children. As they eagerly spy, they learn a great deal from the mourning doves. It ends up that life for a family of doves is not all cluck and cooing.
