This is a mother's diary exposing her need for years of self-education, and necessity for multiple medical visits to specialists. The lack of medical support for many of her personal observations, and her continual frustration of fighting for special education, tutors, hearing aids of other assistance will have a profound effect on the reader. Adding to the already complex situations is the drama of a marriage be set with difficulties.
