Rah, Rah, Herman! by Lori Pines is a wickedly funny tale about Herman, a mischievous, prank-loving boy who never listens. With charming illustrations, all-too-real hilarious scenarios, and a powerful lesson in being kind to others, this children's book is sure to delight. Herman lives with his mom and dad and little brother Robby, whom he loves very much. There's just one problem: Herman likes to do naughty things-very naughty things. From squeezing ketchup on the wall to surfing the luggage carousel at the airport, rascally Herman's disobedient antics make his parents and teacher furious. But, no matter how many times they tell him to stop, he refuses to listen. When they say, "Don't do that, Herman!" all he hears is, "Blah, blah, Herman!" One day, Herman sees a cosmetics saleslady trip and fall on the sidewalk by his house. The lady reminds him so much of his Grandma Martha, who is always kind to him and who he'd never want to see hurt, that instead of being mischievous, Herman decides to help her. When the saleslady thanks Herman for his kindness, instead of hearing, "Blah, blah, Herman!" he hears, "Rah, rah, Herman!" And boy, he likes listening to that! Herman learns that being kind and helping others not only makes his family and teacher much happier, but it makes him feel better about himself than when he's being naughty. And that's cause for celebration, including a trip to his favorite pizzeria for pizza, a chocolate sundae, and the best thing yet-a hug from Grandma Martha, who says, "I'm so proud of you! Rah, rah for you, Herman!" Rah, Rah, Herman! is a colorful, playful reminder that being considerate and assisting those around us brings greater rewards than when we don't pay attention.
