In The Twilight Box, the second of the fantasy series, Tales of Terre, two teens, Ambro and Noleena, search for their identities and the forces, natural and magical, that will fight the sorcery that has divided and is close to destroying their land.

Ambro's lost family may be members of the arrogant ruling class of Terre; Noleena is a pricess of the Wind-wanderers, desert-dwellers who have been cruelly subjugated and enslaved by the rulers. But Ambro discovers that he too may be enslaved, and Noleena, who has been hidden and protected for most of her life in an abandoned temple of the Wind-wanderers, is forced to leave her sanctuary to battle her people's oppressers.

In a setting of desert, rain forest, and mist-shrouded mountains, Ambro and Noleena, sworn enemies, must join in searching for the forces that will bring their world back to balance.
