When ducks are born the first moving thing that they see is what they follow thinking they are their Mother. This is what happened to Peep. When his life was restored, I was the one that he saw and he thought I was his mother.
This story is a true personal experience. It is well suited for the entire family. I have had more adults enjoy reading it than children. But, the adults usually share it with their children and pass it on to other relatives to read too. The younger children will have to have it read to them, but the children that can read will enjoy reading all about Peep and his adventures all by themselves. There are lots of pictures for them to see as they follow through this exciting story of Peep and all he went through learning to be a duck and not a people.
Just seeing him floating on the water was bad, but the idea of him being drowned broke my heart. It had to be God that wanted me to have him removed and to take him home and try to care for him to show some of the great things that God can do for an animal.
My experience of caring for this little duck was exciting and most of all very rewarding. Not only did the Lord bring the duck back to life, but he healed many hearts and changed lives in the neighborhood where I lived. I shall forever be grateful for being given the opportunity to carry out this task in my life. You just need to read the story to see how it all began and ended.
