The Global Warning Series features the adventures of Lydia Barnes, a 14-year-old girl who travels with her widower missionary father to exciting locations around the world. In each story Lydia finds herself facing new challenges that introduce readers ages 8 through 12 to world issues and how God can make a difference as they develop a Christian worldview. This series of intrigue also addresses age-appropriate personal, social, and spiritual themes that encourage readers to depend on God in their own spiritual journey. In book one of this series, Lydia joins her father, Frank, on a trip to Liberia, Africa, and finds herself caught up in a treasure hunt with her new best friend, Ben. If they can unravel the mystery and solve all of the clues, Lydia and Ben may find the treasure desperately needed by the doctors in this war-torn country.
