Robin and Shane have lived next door to each other for years and have only recently started dating. Two carefree teenagers, deeply in love, have their lives turned upside down by a drunk driver. While waiting for a bus, a car jumps the curb and strikes both of them. Shane pushes Robin out of the way at the last minute, saving her life. Robin wakes up in the hospital a few days later with an injured pancreas and minor cuts and bruises. Shane though, is far more critically injured and is left in a deep coma. It spurns Robin on a mission to start a chaper of SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) at her school and raise awareness of the dangers when people drink and then get behind the wheel. All of her efforts though, cannot bring Shane back...will he wake up to hold her in his arms again?
