He experiences the joys and angst of life with a younger sibling. The focus shifts in the third chapter to Jessie's point of view, and what she, as a now four year old, remembers and feels about the role big brother, Jack, has played so far in her life. The fourth chapter takes a leap into the future where a grown-up Jessie has a phone conversation with a grown up Jack.
