This is the first of two books covering the recently revised Zimbabwe Junior Certificate Science Syllabus - the first examination is to be held in 1995. It also provides a suitable preparation for the later study of O level science subjects. The pupil's book contains a full year's work organized into chapters, with each chapter divided into topics for easier use. Problems and readabouts provide additional activites to encourage scientific thinking and to allow pupils to demonstrate the application of acquired knowledge. At the end of each book is a set of skills sheets intended to develop the essential skills of observation, reading, note-taking, number experimental design and revision.
