The book covers Spanish vocabulary with colors, numbers, animals, and proper nouns. The tone is very cheerful and neutral. The artwork is done mostly in watercolor and inks. The illustrations enhance the text because they give details in the clothing and setting that the text does not. The clothing really shows some differences without having to verbally point it out.
