Eleven-year-old Rad Sergeant began the school year in a new school with a chip on his shoulder. However, Rad was not a kid that allowed depression to hang around very long. Soon he and two odd characters at school were best friends and began an investigation into the myth of a ghost by the name of Jessica Leah that lived in the Peak Mountains behind Rad's ranch. At the same time of the ghost investigation, Rad was practicing to become a rodeo rider. But then right before the rodeo, Rad broke his foot but he was determined, nothing not even a broken foot was going to stop him from riding in the rodeo, maybe.
