This mixed-genre anthology, part of the new Cambridge Collections series, is a flexible resource that brings together a wide range of high-quality texts for students of all abilities across the whole of Key Stage 3. Who We Are explores what it is to be human through a variety of genres, styles and voices, and is designed to excite students' interest in reading. It also links with some of the issues investigated in Citizenship and PSHE. A lively range of activities is integrated with the texts to ensure easy access to teaching ideas and resources. These cover the key reading skills, incorporating many ideas for speaking, listening and drama work. A supporting Teachers' Resource CD-ROM provides a bank of differentiated editable worksheets, plus stimulus and contextual material, such as photographs and audio clips, for use with an interactive whiteboard or on individual computers.
