Aiming to meet the needs of all abilities, and in line with the requirements of the National Curriculum, this is part of a French course for Key Stages 3 and 4. For each year there is a pupil book, divided into six theme-based modules, each of which represents roughly half a term's work. The activities can be tackled by pupils at their own pace - in pairs, in groups or alone - and to their own level. Checklists for revision and self-assessment appear at regular intervals, to help pupils take active responsibility for checking their own progress. Also available to accompany each pupil book is a teacher's resource and assessment file, a teacher's guide, colour game-cards, flashcards, a cassette pack and a video pack. These cassettes accompany the second pupil book. They contain material which includes songs, poems, rhymes, dialogues and interviews, and language is introduced to provide pronunciation models. This evaluation pack for Year 8 contains the pupil book, the teacher guide, the resource and assessment file, one cassette, and sample flashcards.
