Camille Allen chronicles her five-year journey as she and her university students collaborated with primary teachers and children from an economically disadvantaged urban school. She describes her students' learning, changes in their thinking, and their personal growth - how they engaged in reflective practice and collaboration and developed a sense of community and common experience.

Case studies let you watch as the university students reshape their perceptions about the education of students from an at risk population and the primary students build confidence, learn reading strategies, and increase fluency.
