"Pip has so much work to do. But he can't find his tools!" Young readers (and a veritable menagerie of Pip's pals) will help this plump little penguin find his hammer, saw, wrench, and paintbrush. Behind each easy-to-lift flap on every two-page spread is the lost tool with a helpful friend just waiting to return it. "Here it is!" says the ostrich in the garage, paintbrush in mouth. "Here it is!" says the chicken, bursting out of Pip's car engine with a wrench.

Children will be tickled at the silly scenarios and earnest expressions on the animals' faces, and will most certainly join in the "Here it is!" refrain. Vibrant swathes of color coat the sturdy board-book pages, with boldly outlined pictures of Pip, his friends, and the everyday objects and scenes around his house. And of course everyone will be delighted by the punch line--once Pip has located all his tools, suddenly he himself is missing.
