I am a pediatric critical care nurse and freelance writer. I enjoy writing fiction for children and educational products as well. I taught high school for 4 years and I have been an elementary school nurse for several years while my children were young. Now I am enjoying the ever present challenge of pediatric critical care. My greatest passion though is writing. I am currently working on several fiction projects for children where the characters are dealing with some of the critical issues I see in the hospital setting. I also have a blog where I offer resources and information for families dealing with a health care crisis and death and dying issues. I love writing about things kids relate to and I love to see them get excited about learning. I hope to be apart of that process as I grow as a writer.
