About Tom
My wife Tess and I published our book, The Endless String, after raising our 4 children, whose childlike antics and wisdom gave birth to the humor found in many of our poems. We also took inspiration from Shel Silverstein's "outside the box" approach to poetry and illustration.

Tom, Thanks for your information. You don't have to tell me how frustrating it is to find a publisher. Having a collaboration of author/illustrator is great...then you can have the freedom to go that route. Without the artistic ability, picture books need the expertise of traditional publishers. I will certainly check out your book - I love all imaginative children's books. Also, it's good to hear reinforcement to keep my dreams alive - for it took me awhile to realize that a career in children's books is actually possible!
