Sheila A. Donovan has had her poetry published in journals, anthologies, chapbooks, newspapers and magazines. Her poems have been exhibited at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago. They have been broadcast on National Public Radio. She has been a semi-finalist for the Gwendolyn Brooks Open Mike Award. Sheila has done readings at schools, coffee houses, galleries, libraries, Columbia College (Chicago) Printers Ball, and the Bucktown Arts Fest. In 2008, she originated the annual Children's Day event for Poetry on the Beach. She has tutored reading to inner-city children for over 20 years. WRITING IS A PASSION THAT WILL NOT PERMIT SHEILA TO LAY HER PEN DOWN.
