I’ve planted a heck of a lot of trees in my lifetime - 500,000 or so (that does not, however add up to the amount I use as an illustrator) • I have made over 300 grilled cheese sandwiches before 6:00am and sushi for 100 people in the bush with only a generator and a cook trailer • I am a mom and a wife • I have an amazing family • I illustrate books • I am an unintentional writer • I am not tidy • I love to read, cook, sing and play • I love the feeling of my sons warm breath on my cheek more than anything in the world • I love to garden, and miss it even when it is covered with glorious snow • I have driven across country 9 times in very unreliable vehicles • I love what I do • My 'real' job is being a graphic artist • I am a graduate of Sheridan College • I cleaned toilets for a summer • I love the smell of spring • I ache for long canoe trips, and after • I write because I love to tell stories
