Trellis Publishing
Trellis Publishing, Inc. was an idea in 1996 -- could a publishing company be formed to concentrate only on one character, and then develop that character into more than one book or product? Trellis Publishing is the answer! Our first book, Impatient Pamela Calls 9-1-1, was two years in the making, since all facets of the publishing business had to be learned-- art direction, production and printing, transportation, distribution, marketing, and promotion. Each stage has its own challenges and rewards, but nothing was as exciting as having our first book roll off the press in June of l998.
Our first character, Impatient Pamela, has already won the hearts of many fans. After being featured on C-SPAN's Book TV show and winning the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, sales skyrocketed and more projects were under way. Several Impatient Pamela books followed, all national award winners. Our children's books are now translated into five languages and are distributed in many countries around the world.
We have expanded to include lines of children's classics, adult non-fiction, and of course, we still produce the occasional Impatient Pamela book.
