I was born in Portsmouth, UK in 1979 and graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2001. I've published ten short stories in magazines and anthologies such as the international project Small Voices, Big Confessions (2006). My ‘Ringroad to Immolation’ was named one of the best online short stories of 2004 by StorySouth.com. I co-compiled and edited a book about hitchhiking No Such Thing As A Free Ride? (2005) for Cassell Illustrated. It was serialized in the London Times and named the Observer’s Travel Book of the Month. In August 2007 I spoke at the Indian Ocean World conference hosted by the University of Malaysia. I have written for publications in the UK, USA, Canada and Southeast Asia and is a regular columnist for the Malaysian arts magazine Quill. My novella The Blank Space is due to be published by Pendragon Press later in 2008. No Such Thing As A Free Ride? North American Edition is published by Goose Lane in Canada in May 2008.
