I am a prepublished children's author.
I have worked with children for 29 years on a weekly basis. I am commonly referred to as a "kid magnet". If children are within a short distance, they cling to me. I believe it's because I talk with them and not down to them. One thing about kids is that they can spot the real thing.

I learned from my grandmother, who lived to be 105 years old. Grandma's stories were all true, but just as a child grows, so did her tales. She knew how to spin the thread that bound facts with fiction so tight that you weren’t sure where the truth ended and the tale began.

I am a member of SCBWI and belong to a critique group in Asheville, NC and am currently working with a published children's author on my craft.
I have several pbs ready and am working on two separate mg books.
