I have been a freelance translator (English-Spanish-English) for 14 years and have been teaching in the degree program for English teachers and English-Spanish translators at the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla for 15. I have been a sworn translator for the Federal Judiciary Board of Mexico for 3 years.
I love reading and I am a closet Harry Potter fan. I love good children's literature and would love to work more in its translation, as children's literature in Mexico is very scarce, although I now see more Mexican authors writing children's stories in Spanish.
I would love to collaborate with authors in the translation of their work so that they can expand their readership.
I actually found this site when I googled the names of some authors I want to get in touch with, since my students translated some of their stories and they turned out great!
