About john
After creating and writing the short series PET SQUAD, illustrated by Anthony Williams and published by Collins Carnival, I wrote a series of adaptation of trad stories like Repunzal, The Fisherman's wife etc, for a company called Hallmark (no relation to the TV company). Then I adapted the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy into graphic novels, and finally a few years back I wrote The Roadkill of Middle Earth, which was illustrated by the late, great Tom Sutton.
Unfortunately, the publisher of these works, Byron Preiss of NY died and his company went into liquidation, so I think the only way you can buy 'em, is second hand.
I've been writing films recently and have started my own animation production company - Foof Productions Ltd. We're already some way into producing an animated series based on my comic book The Sleeze Brothers, and plan to launch another animated soon, ANIMENTALS, for mobile phones.
The latest children's book I'm working on, as well as the movie script and the mobile phone animation, is THE DINGBATS, the story of a bunch of dysfunctional homeless bats fighting to save their village sanctuary from ruthless developers.
The Dingbats will be a series of three novels. Rob Steen (Flanimals) is up to do the illustrations. The film script will be finished in Feb 2009 and I haven't started looking for a publisher yet... (As my Agent has buggered off to LA and I'm not repped here at the moment!)
That's more than enough about me!
