About Barbara
Barbara Bottner is the author/illustrator of over 35 books for children, including 2 YA novels. She's most well-known, however, as the author of Bootsie Barker Bites, illustrated by Peggy Rathmann, and Wallace's Lists,co-written with her husband, Gerald Kruglik, illustrated by Olof Landstrom. Both of these also became animated shorts. Her most recent book is Miss Brooks Loves Books (and I don't) illustrated by Michael Emberly. Barbara has also worked in television and feature films, and has published short stories in national magazines. She also frequently contributed to the Miami Herald (in their Sunday Magazine,) Tropic, where she wrote mostly about men and women. She teaches a Master Class from her home in Los Angeles, after teaching at OtisParsons, UCLA, The New School, which gave her an Award for Outstanding Teaching. She is currently working on a novel for adults.
