I moved from France to New Orleans in 1996. Prior to my moving to the US, I was a school librarian in France and also worked for 4 years at a resource center for teachers where I was in charge of selecting manuscripts of documents to be published for teachers. I also followed up with the different phases of the publication process, including editing, creating indexes...
I have published poetry in France, as well as short stories in literary journals.(Inedit Nouveau, animated by Paul Van Melle, La Venus Litteraire...)
I translated (Co-tranlator Jean-Michel Guyot) "1 Dead in Attic" by Chris Rose, journalist at the Time Picayune who chronicled the Katrina events, to be published in France.
I just finished writing a tale "The Vouivre", based on a local Eastern France tale, which is told in many different versions, in the oral tradition. Very few have been transcribed.
I intend to submit this tale to publishers to see if it could generate interest.
My first book written with JeanMichel Guyot, my partner in the writing process will come out in France in June 2008. The title is uncertain yet as I had called it "the Midwife" but the publisher would like something "catchier" I have an idea in French, but cannot translate it as it is a double meaning expression... .
