I am an aspiring fantasy novelist (see my site at www.craigsshoemake.com for more on this). I've also written a number of short stories which I'm trying to publish. One of these is a 10,000 word Civil War ghost story I wrote in 1996 which I've recently cleaned up and am seeking to publish as a children's chapter book. I would never have thought to do this were it not for my wife, who used to teach children, suggesting it. Thanks to her push I've now ventured into the world of children's books and that's how I ended up here.
