Chasing AllieCat is my latest novel. It's a story about friendship, set in southern Minnesota, full of adventure, danger, mystery, and even romance. The main characters find a body while mountain biking in the woods.
I grew up on a farm in Iowa and I live in the country again outside Good Thunder, MN--sort of back to my roots. My first novel published by HarperCollins was Jake Riley: Irreparably Damaged. I also have nine books out with Coughlan companies. I wish I could write full-time. But who gets to do that? I write in between teaching literature, composition, humanities, and creative writing at South Central College. I'm working on four projects right now. My current project is titled Slider's Son, about a boy whose father is sheriff in N. Dakota during the depression. They discover a body... stay tuned.If I'm not writing or teaching, I am with my dog or on my bike. Actually, I'd rather spend most of my day writing (my dog would be around), and the next biggest chunk of day on the bike. We just don't always get what we want...I'm going to shut up here and get writing.
