Writing gives me a platform to express the creativity God has so richly blessed me with.I write daily and I love crafting characters who can literally jump off the pages and command your attention. I especially like giving strong willed children a voice. These children are known for speaking the truth without any tact or diplomacy. If it comes up, it is coming out. What the world needs now is truth sweet truth--no matter how it hurts and characters like Lucille and her counterpart Martin Tyrone Sanchez Dupree will keep all of us on our toes.
Lucille is actually one of the many characters I penned and brought to life in theatrical productions in the nineties. I was acting then and known for capturing even the smallest nuances of voice and gesture in the characters I portrayed. Lucille was so well received by children and adults alike that I was inspired to give her a life outside the theater. I am a former youth pastor who has been writing plays and short stories for over 30 years. I currently write most of the material for www.bencouraged.net and blog often. I am convinced that there is a market for Lucille and I know that this is her season.
