Hello, I like anything that makes my day better, music from the 70's bring back great memories, and I like to nap when it rains. I like making picante dip on cool days and walking in the park, I love laughing, sunny days, and crisp autumn days. I love the ocean and simplicity, like curtains flowing in the house on a breezy day . Some of my favorite children’s authors are Lewis Carroll, Shel Silverstein, and Robert Munsch. I enjoy poetry from Shel Silverstien and find his words down-to-earth, understandable and with a witty twist at the end. I love my writing because it has remarkably soothed me during difficult times while turning what felt like desperation into inspiration. I love the stories and thoughts that come from small children. Their imaginations are overflowing and the source of all my material for children. A new born child inspired my first work in a published book titled "This is Life" (Embracing the Seasons through Poetry and Songs). The new born is my daughter and though the book is obscure and out of print now, it continues to inspire me, and so does my daughter who continues to grow in every way. My newest publication, "You Make Me Want to Sing" (Music Stories), is written for young audiences ages birth through kindergarten. But I must say that this type of story will stay with children well into adulthood. Words from parents echo loudly after we're grown. My greatest hope for this book is that it will bring a smile to young faces in the present and the sentiment "You Make Me Want to Sing”, repeat in their minds for a generation.- Kathy
