I am a free lance writer, former teacher, wife and mother of three. My articles on parenting, women's health and education have found their way into magazines and websites across the country.

My most exciting credit to date was when my children's story, "Fishing on the Black Volta," appeared in the June 2007 issue of Boy's Quest Magazine!

Although my primary writing focus is children's books, I have nearly 18 years of experience in the publishing industry. This gives me unique insights into a variety of subjects and genres.

I live in Farmington Hills, Michigan with my husband and three kids. Before that I lived in Nashville, TN., where I taught school.

I'm a member of SCBWI. I enjoy reading, painting and taking care of my family which includes a big black dog, two fish, a crazy cockatiel and a rabbit.
