I'm a librarian currently working in an elementary school in Okemos Michigan. I love books - have always loved books - and it is a great joy to share that love with children. My biggest thrill is to see a student get excited about a story I've read or a book they've discovered.

As of October 2010 I can call myself a published writer (or soon to be, anyway!) Arbutus Press has contracted to publish my book Mighty Mac the Bridge that Couldn't be Built. It's a children's picture book about the building of the Mackinac Bridge. Hopefully the book will be out this summer!

After years of freelancing for local magazines and newspapers, it's very exciting to have a book about to be published. Hopefully this is just the start of a wonderful new chapter in my life. I've got a head full of ideas and a couple file folders filed with manuscripts!
