I am not special. I have spent a lifetime teaching and observing children as well as being one. I used to write and produce plays for them but now I want to write stories. I am, at present, following a writing course and learning how difficult that is. But what fun! I keep reading all these prize-winning books and wishing I had written them. I think there is probably a good book hidden inside everyone but the problem is how to find it. I haven't done this so far. I believe I will do this before "I pop my clogs" as they say in England. In Yorkshire, England, where I come from there is a good deal of earthy common sense around. This heritage keeps my head out of the clouds most of the time. The rest of the time it is buried in a book.
