I would describe myself first and foremost as an artist, then as a writer - which developed in my more mature years.
I have always loved drawing from an early age, taking inspiration from nature and the animals that were always around me as I grew up here in the English countryside.
Not being encouraged to pursue 'The Arts' as a career, I went into Nursing as a young woman. However, my desire to paint never left me, so when family commitments allowed, I redirected myself, working quietly to understand who I was, and than finally, by the grace of God, was fortunate enough illustrate professionally, mainly in the greetings card industry and privately commissioned works.
I also spent some years teaching drawing and painting in watercolour.
As a Christian, I believe it is important to use my gifts to inspire and encourage others to believe in the life changing truths of the Bible. I continually hope, through my work, to encourage others to take hold of God's promises and have faith in the living Lord Jesus Christ, who fulfilled every prophetic promise and graciously came to bring Salvation to all who would believe in Him.
I have almost finished a my debut' book, "Claude" which I hope to see published this year. It is a book that reflects sound Christian values within a farming family and the animals that share their hardworking life. It is directed towards older children and anyone really who loves and enjoys animals.
