An elementary school teacher/administrator, husband, father, grandfather, gardener, runner, published author - all these are things I would suggest to describe various parts of me. A love for travel and missions led to the writing of "Enrique Speaks With His Hands," my first published book. The story of a little boy, born deaf, it is also the story of an amazing friend and her work with the deaf in rural Honduras.
Born in Alabama, lived for a time in Oregon, now living and working in Southern California.
A second manuscript is ready to go - just need to find a publisher interested in a fantastic story. Like my first one, this is based on a true story, this one heard while doing relief work in Indonesia after the tsunami. I have had the advantage of a "captive audience" in the children in my own school. This story proved captivating to 3rd - 6th graders.
