Karen Jo Shapiro has had a lifelong passion for writing poetry and silly parodies. A graduate of Colby College with B.A.’s in English and Spanish, she enjoys poking fun at the seriousness of the classic poets while honoring their enduring talents. She is the author of two Charlesbridge books, "I Must Go Down to the Beach Again and Other Poems" and "Because I Could Not Stop My Bike".
