I'm a stay-at-home mom of four children: Three girls--[Jaimie (6 1/2), Jordhan (almost 5) and baby Sophie who's 14 months] and a gorgeous baby boy, Xander, who will be 3 in November.

Jaimie and Xander have special needs so I'm a strong advocate for children and families with special needs and always looking to find new ways to bring awareness to such issues as Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), autism, speech struggles, and learning disorders.

I've self-published a children's picture book, "I'm Not Weird, I Have SPD," which has been recently revised. I also have a memoir coming out fairly soon called, "Not Just Spirited: A Mom's Sensational Journey With Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)" through Loving, Healing Press. I'm also working on a reference book on the sensory diet to help families with sensory sensitive children create the best "diet" for their child.

On top of this, I am a Psychology student completing my BA focusing on children and families with special needs. One day, I hope to research neurological disorders in children and help families get what they need in terms of treatment and support.
