My husband and I live in a small town in Western Michigan. I have two children. My daughter is pursuing a career in medicine and my son is a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. “GO NAVY”
I work at a non-profit organization that advocates for people with disabilities at a Financial Assistant. In 2010 I participated in the Iride. Iride is a four-day-inclusive cycling event in which people with and without disabilities ride all the way from the west coast of Michigan to Ann Arbor to promote advocacy and awareness for individuals with disabilities. I have been a long time cyclist but due to children and the busy life they lead bicycling was put on the back burner. The Iride was a great welcome back ride.
I also enjoy walking, writing, genealogy and gardening. My newest hobbies include PowerPoint presentations that take memories and turn them in to a memorable memory performance, learning Arabic and a sign language class in the near future.
