About Gregg
I am a writer of children's fiction and my first book Big Bobby Boom! and the Marble Mayhem Moosehide books will bring a smile to anyone's face who's ever been bullied.
Big Bobby Boom! and the Marble Mayhem BIG BOBBY BOOM! AND THE MARBLE MAYHEM is full of humor, fun, adventure and lots mischief. Elliott Blue is the new kid in town and is the target of the chief town bully – Big Bobby Boolacheck – “aka” Big Bobby Boom! The Boolachecks run the town – every aspect of the town. Big Bobby Boom’s henchmen Booker and Biff Muldoon assist Big Bobby Boom with terrorizing not just Elliott – but almost all the other kids at school too. Nobody has dared to stand up or challenge the way things are in the town of Bunsel – all because of the Boolachecks. Fortunately, for Elliott, his trusted cousin, Jimmy “The Slick” Blue – shows Elliott a few ingenious tricks of his own when he moves in with Elliott and his family. Readers will enjoy the antics of Elliott and Jimmy as they become infamous pranksters who go head to head with Big Bobby Boom crashing his birthday party, planning a bit of hi-jinx in the hockey rink and spicing up lunchtime with hot pepper pie. ---BIG BOBBY BOOM! AND THE MARBLE MAYHEM, written by Gregg Seeley is geared for reluctant and inquisitive readers – as well as being a fun read for anyone who has ever been bullied. Equally Comical and heart warming Big Bobby Boom! and the Marble Mayhem is a welcome addition to the world of young adult fiction. A promising debut from an exciting new literary talent—Rhonda Carver Apex Reviews 4.5 stars-
This is such a fun book! I love reading juvenile literature, and this book was a hilarious choice. While the story is a fantastical journey of epic (to a kid!) proportions, the dialogue will ring true to the book’s intended target market…The book starts off with a bang and keeps up a rapid pace all the way to the ending---No slow starts or dead bits here. I hope the book gets a wide readership and is picked up by a larger publishing house—A quick read, great for the adolescent (and adult who perhaps got picked on one too many times in school) ---Try this one out!---Lori Anderson Goodreads ---Five Stars

That is the way it has been for several generations. Nobody has ever taken a stand or even bothered to challenge the order of things until Elliot Blue moves to town and shortly after comes cousin Jimmy ‘the slick’. Elliot Blue is the typical ‘picked on’ kid with a penchant for self-preservation. He’s the one that most can identify with, the smart one who runs, hides and hopes that the bullies won’t come looking for him in the chess club, school band or washroom. Jimmy ‘the slick’ Blue, on the other hand, is the extroverted smart guy who doesn’t look for trouble but when it finds him he’s pretty quick to come up with ingenious ways of dealing with it. In essence he’s the one that all bullied kids wish they could be or at least have a friend like him. Geared for the reluctant and inquisitive reader, between 9-12, Big Bobby Boom! and the Marble Mayhem depicts how life can be a nightmare for some and a great opportunity for others..
“Sometimes, being an undersized brainy kid can really stink. No one knows this better than eleven year old Elliot Blue who finds himself thrust into a new school, in a new town where just within the first few days he has managed to make himself a target of the self proclaimed school bully ‘Big Bobby Boolacheck (Big Bobby Boom!) and hench-boys Booker and Biff Muldoon. Elliot’s life is going from bad to worse. Luckily for Elliot, a cousin from the big city is coming to live with them for awhile. Soon enough the perfectly ordered town of Bunsel, that had been terrorized by the Boolachecks would experience something it had never encountered before. A triple threat with a backbone, a warped sense of humour and a genius mind . . . meet eleven year old super prankster Jimmy ‘the slick’ Blue.”
Together the soon to be infamous duo of Prankster and Brainiac are about to bring whole new brand of justice to the mean streets and playgrounds of Bunsel and go head to head with the nasty trio of Big Bobby Boom! and hench boys Booker and Biff.
Big Bobby Boom! and the Marble Mayhem is an easy to read fun-filled page turner for anyone who likes birthday party crashing, hockey hi-jinx, baseball bloopers and watching a bully unwittingly eat a hot pepper pie. The book came into being from bedtime stories that my two boys Liam and Harrison were the first to enjoy. Originally titled ‘Bad Jimmy’ these tales come from my childhood experiences but were spiced up with a lot of embellishment.Yes, the characters in the book are based on real life people, except for Jimmy I made him up as being my alter-ego in a life where I was picked on considerably. Elliot was me as a child, timid, shy and lived in my own imaginary world most times.
Big Bobby , Booker and Biff are compilations of bullies I encountered in my adventurous childhood as well as the mayor Big Bobby Boolacheck Sr. The sheriff is based on my dad, a former mountie. You may wonder why Big Bobby insists upon terrorizing Elliot so? Bobby is a bully and he learned it from his father and his father learned it from his father before him. It is all he knows. He thrives on terrorizing. Maintaining the status quo is very important to him. Some may wonder how did Jimmy become such a super-prankster? That’s an easy one. At first it was a cry for attention, having been placed in a private school at a very young age. Craving attention from any parental figure was his goal at first then he became notorious for it. His skills developed into a fantastic survival mechanism when he moved to the town of Bunsel and faced Boolacheck and his hench-boys. The main message here is, life is what you make it. You can spend your time hiding and believing there is no way out or you can use your imagination . . .that is the key to obtaining anything you desire.
Yes, there is a sequel in the works. It is nearly finished the final edit and will be going off to the publisher soon. Entitled Big Bobby Boom! and the Junkyard Monster, it is guaranteed to keep the reader riveted to the pages and laughing all the way through. After that it’s Big Bobby Boom! and the Nasty Surprise.
My writing mentor is Richard Mousseau, editor and publisher at Moosehide books. He has been extremely instrumental with my development as a writer by being brutally honest but extremely encouraging all along the way, like any great coach should be.
My future writing aspirations are to complete the Big Bobby Boom! series, have my other novels in development published which include a horror fiction, a Suspense murder mystery, a Romantic action humour novel, a children’s fantasy novel series, and a children’s picture book. My final words on the subject are, if you have an idea of what you want to accomplish, whether it be anything at all, provided it brings you the greatest joy, do everything you can to do it and the universe will respond by giving you every opportunity to make it happen.
