Hi,
Having returned from SCBWI LA 2007 I am refreshed and ready to get back to work. You may have seen me in costume. I was Silverware. Ha! I love making costumes!
I come from an arts background and have wanted to be a children's book writer since the early 80's. Instead of writing, I got a job at a trading card company and put all my writing and illustrations on the back burner. I can say I wrote the bios for the Beauty and the Beast trading cards. What? You didn't buy those trading cards!
My degree is in Art and I have an AA in floral design. Both of which I'm utilizing for the book I'm currently working on.
My favorite book series from childhood would be 'The Littles'. I recently found 3 of the books in my storage unit. That's like finding gold! :-)
I am the new webmaster of the San Diego chapter of SCBWI. Books can teach you anything! :-)
