I am the author of New York's 50 Best Places To Take Children (Rizzoli, 4th Edition, 2009). I also wrote the regional bestseller, New York's 50 Best Places To Find Peace And Quiet (Rizzoli/6th Edition, 2011) — which I guess is the book you buy after you’ve been to 50 places with the kids. In 2010, I published The Guide To Odd New York: Unusual Places, Weird Attractions, and the City's Most Curious Sites, co-authored with Cari Jackson.

I edited another in the 50 Best series, New York's 50 Best Places to Renew Body, Mind and Spirit.

Additionally, I created and wrote the two-time Telly Award-winning Hard Hat Harry’s children's video series with more than 2 million copies in distribution.

In support of my regional bestseller on finding refuge and relaxation in the city, I developed an iPhone app titled TranquiliCity (tranquilicityapp.com) and launched a website called Findpeaceandquiet.com, which takes the concept nationally.

But it’s my balloon making for children that keeps my life in perspective and laughter at the ready.
