Ms. Leah Spencer Hopkins has been a music teacher in Philadelphia since 1987.
She is presently a doctoral candidate at the University of Phoenix majoring in educational Leadership/curriculum and instruction. She has a master's in curriculum and instruction and a master's in music education.

Leah has written several children's books to be used in the music classroom while applying the Orff and Kodaly approach to teaching music. Her books are enjoyed as children are engaged, enlightened and listen to classical music, creatively responding to the music and move to dramatize the story as it is being read.

Her newest book entitled "The Gathering of the Four Seasons." is illustrated by the young artist James Hill and soon to be released in the Fall of 2008; published by Authorhouse. The music for the book is by the great composer Antonio Vivaldi from his celebrated work "The Four Seasons."

Ms. Leah Spencer Hopkins' desire is to publish at least one book each school season as she continues to develop stories that grow out of her classroom experience.
