Pro Lingua Press
PLP is one of the most devoted crusaders in the field of foreign language education, concentrating its efforts mainly on children and young adults. Our organization is comprised of an international team of editors, translators, and educators, who have made it their mission to create and develop new methods of learning foreign languages in a fast and fun-filled manner. Research has shown that children learn their first language skills by imitating the phonetic sounds that they are exposed to at an early age. Just as a child born in Japan, thus exposed to sounds characteristic of Japanese, will emulate those sounds naturally, a child born in Russia will do the same in Russian. It follows then that the more sounds a child is introduced to early on, the greater becomes the childs' capacity to mimic the various sounds used in different languages. Moreover, by acquiring these sounds at the earliest age possible, the child will pronounce the words in an accent free manner. Our research and efforts have since led to a collection of original stories that were meticulously translated by native speakers in order to retain the flow and characteristics of each language. In addition, we have contrived a unique format wherein each text is simultaneously presented in English, German French and Spanish. This format allows the reader to easily recognize the many similarities existing between the different languages, by comparing the languages, side by side. The incredible response to our innovative methods has shown that even young children are able to easily learn foreign languages, thereby not only acquiring a new language, but also improving their reading skills and gaining confidence as well. Ultimately, we hope that by providing parents and teachers alike with useful techniques in foreign language education, we shall eliminate some of the difficulties existing in communicating across foreign borders. It is our long term commitment to create a non-profit organization which through the use of modern technology will be able to deliver these learning techniques to every home across the world. We hope that you too will benefit from trying and joining our program. Members of the Children's Book Council.
