Pocahontas Press

Pocahontas Press was established in 1987 to publish family histories. Since then, it has expanded to publish works of biography, memoir, historical non-fiction, textbooks, poetry, and, most recently, children's books. Pocahontas Press has quickly adopted the children's book genre with its publication of Climbing Daddy Mountain, by Virginia Tech professor J.D. Stahl; and Scalesters, by 9-year-old Max Broyden. We are closely connected with Blacksburg, Virginia and Virginia Tech. We publish many local authors but continue to look for promising authors from all regions.

Specifically interested in books with these subjects or themes: Historical non-fiction, memoirs, biographies, textbooks, poetry
