Kevin Hile graduated from Adrian College in 1988 and married his college sweetheart, Janet, that year. After working in a gloomy plastics factory in Ohio for almost a year after graduation, he became an assistant editor for reference book publisher Gale Research in Detroit. Here he rose to the position of senior editor before moving to Mason in 1998 and working for American Collegiate Marketing in Okemos. He went freelance in 2001, and in 2007 began work as a web site designer and publications manager for the Lansing-based company Media Matters of Michigan, which is owned by entertainment reporter Jim Fordyce.Kevin is the author of several nonfiction titles for children and young adults, including Animal Rights, The Trial of Juveniles as Adults, Centaurs, Cesar Chavez, Ghost Ships, Dams & Levees, ESP (coming soon), and Little Zoo by the Red Cedar: The Story of Potter Park Zoo (coming later in 2008), as well as the fantasy novel The Steel of Enadia. Upcoming books by Kevin include The Handy Weather Answer Book, 2nd edition, and a possible collaboration with Jim Fordyce about entertainers who were born in Michigan.
