House of Lochar is a specialist Scottish publisher with a particular remit to print quality books on a number of subjects including Scottish history, traditions and other titles of general Scottish interest in both fiction and non-fiction. As we approach our twentieth birthday we have gained a reputation of which we are proud and have published many books which are regarded as being of great value to the Scottish book publishing industry. We are a full member of the Scottish Publisher's Association and our books are on sale worldwide through book shops and specialist stores � big and small.In February 2006 House of Lochar took a big step by signing up to be marketed by Edinburgh-based Highland Media Group which solved many of the problems of our location on the beautiful yet somewhat remote island of Colonsay. While HMG will market House of Lochar, our publications are also still available through the normal run of wholesalers including Book Source, Amazon and Neilson.
