Erica S. Perl is the author of NINETY-THREE IN MY FAMILY (Reuben Award, Book Sense Pick), which was called “a rib-tickling romp” (Kirkus Reviews) and “a comic masterpiece” (School Library Journal). She is also the author of CHICKEN BEDTIME IS REALLY EARLY, which was dubbed “a clever, winning offering that soars” (ALA Booklist, starred review) and “a double debut that’s double the fun” (Publishers Weekly).

Look for Erica's next book, CHICKEN BUTT! (illustrated by Henry Cole) in Spring, 2009 from Abrams. Erica’s first YA novel, FOLLOWING THE NAIL, will be published by Knopf in 2010.

Erica teaches writing and works as a freelance writer and editor. She writes about children's books for publications including Slate and offsprung.com.
