Publisher Information
Editions Soleil de Minuit
Founded in 1999, the goal of Editions Soleil de Minuit is to sensitize readers to different aspects of the many cultural groups that chose Canada as their new country. Many books concentrate on the Inuit and the Aboriginals, their contemporary life, their language and their culture. The picture books are simultaneously translated in a second language that’s pertinent to the text. Many languages are represented, such as Aboriginal languages (Innu, Algonquin, Atikamekw, Gitxsanimax and Inuttitut) as well as Italian, English, Greek, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Creole and Vietnamese.
